News Pebbles is made by NeRDLabs. By using this site you agree to these terms. They are short on purpose.
Everything here is free: no accounts, no ads, no payments.
The papers, posters and Read & Play stories are licensed under CC BY-NC 4.0. In short: you may print, copy and share them, at home, in a classroom or online, as long as you say they come from News Pebbles (newspebbles.com) and you don't sell them or use them to make money. You may adapt them for your own children or class, under the same terms.
Not included: the News Pebbles name and owl logo (please don't use them to suggest we made something we didn't), and the articles, pictures and data of the outside sources each issue lists, which belong to their owners. The site's fonts and map data keep their own open licences.
The papers are researched, written and checked by AI, and no person reviews each paper before it is published (see How it's made). We work hard to make them accurate and right for each age, but they can contain mistakes, and news changes. Every issue lists its sources so you can check anything before handing it to a child. The papers are for learning and conversation; they aren't professional, legal, medical or financial advice.
The papers are written for children to read, ideally with a grown-up. Children don't need to give any personal information to use the site. A parent or teacher decides which paper suits their child. See Privacy for what is stored on the device.
Links to sources and other sites are there so you can check what we wrote. We don't control those sites and aren't responsible for them.
We provide the site and papers as they are. We don't promise they will always be available, complete or error-free, and to the extent the law allows, NeRDLabs isn't liable for losses that come from using them.
To report a mistake, use the feedback form or email corrections@newspebbles.com. We list every fix on the corrections page. Anything else: info@newspebbles.com.
We may update these terms; the date below shows the latest version. Continuing to use the site means you accept the update.
