Saudi Arabia reopened two terminals at the main airport in its capital, Riyadh, on Sunday. The airport is called King Khalid International. It had been out of service for more than two weeks after strikes by the Houthis, an armed group from Yemen, the country just south of Saudi Arabia.
The attacks did not stop on reopening day. A Saudi military spokesman said forces destroyed a missile and a drone fired by the Houthis. A Houthi spokesperson then warned airlines and passengers that the airport was a military target and unsafe to use. Flight-tracking data showed that few planes were flying.
The fighting is also being felt far away. Houthi attacks on Saudi Arabia have pushed up the price of oil, which is used to make fuel for cars, planes and ships. Today's World story explains the latest price.
